Scout for Windows

Active Endpoint Recovery Without Replacing Your Stack

Scout is built for organizations that manage Windows devices and need a practical way to recover endpoints when the physical location becomes unknown.

FindIT Mode

When an endpoint's physical location becomes unknown, technicians start a FindIT recovery session from the portal. Scout receives the command and activates available recovery beacons on the endpoint.

Heartbeats

  • Is the endpoint online?
  • When was it last seen?
  • What power state is it in?

Recovery Beacons

Audible Alerts

Use speakers where available to aid in spatial awareness to endpoint's location in relation to the search party.

Display Messages

Flash high contrast customizable recovery messages on available displays to give visual confirmation of the endpoint's location.

Bluetooth Nearby Assist

Use Bluetooth wireless capability and the FindIT Mobile App to help close the distance to the endpoint.

Queued Recovery

If offline, Scout immediately executes FindIT Mode and turns the endpoint into a recovery beacon at the next successful heartbeat.

Works with Endpoint Reality

Every endpoint is different. Some have speakers. Some have Bluetooth. Some are docked, asleep, or offline. Scout uses whatever capabilities are available at the moment to maximize recovery chances.
