Why IT Teams May Still Need Physical Identification
Even with strong endpoint data, an IT technician may still face a physical identification problem: there may be dozens of visually similar computers in the same area, while the hostname isn't visible on the outside.
The asset label may not help either. It could be missing, damaged, inconsistent, or use an internal asset number rather than the hostname.
